OKTOBERFEST NORTHWEST BRINGS IN THE CROWDS FOR A GREAT WEEKEND!
This past weekend, over 18,000 people came down to the Puyallup Fairgrounds to celebrate traditional and contemporary German culture. This year's event was a mix of both traditional Oktoberfest entertainment and a new twist, with headliner LynnMarie and the Boxhounds keeping the dance floor hoppin' late into the night! The Hammerschlangen tournament, hosted by EQC and KJR Sports Radio, was once again the main event, pulling more than 50 competitors. Guests of all ages came out
to enjoy authentic grub and grog, browse through German gifts and merchandise, and watch Miss Oktoberfest Tana Miller swing high above the crowds. It was a great year, and we can't wait to start planning for everyone to come back and bring a friend (or three!) in 2008!
The Miss Oktoberfest competition at Emerald Queen Casino yielded some very talented, beautiful contestants! We could only choose one "swingin' singer" as Miss Oktoberfest 2007, and the winner is Tanna Miller! Tanna is a burlesque performer with lots of experience in the spotlight- you won't want to miss her at this year's festival!
Described as one of the best traditional Oktoberfest entertainment line-ups on the West Coast, Oktoberfest Northwest will once again live up to its reputation. With two entertainment stages going all day long and acts from some of the best entertainers in the Northwest and the world, we are sure you and your group will enjoy every minute of your visit. Featured acts include Gordanaires Canadian Alpine Folk Band, Enzian Shuhplattler Dancers, ZMusikmakers and Grammy-nominated Lynn Marie and the Boxhounds!
